On Personality

It seems that the Johari window is catching fire nowadays. And no! Having a Johari window is definitely not narcissistic behaviour. I m rather surprised though that some 'friends' found that my Johari window selection too limited... And surprised too to learn that my friend studied the Johari window as part of some module... Anyway, just go get the window yourself at http://kevan.org/johari and see how aware you are of yourself.

I will take this chance to promote the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test too. Take the free (best) test at www.humanmetrics.com. Get your 4-alphabet personality from your results and read the descriptions at www.typelogic.com; www.personalitypage.com (best); www.bestfittype.com; and www.keirsey.com (not accurate). I was shocked at how accurate the results were for me. I rate the descriptions at around 80% accurate for me. If anyone needs help understanding their 4-alphabets, look for me! Think I m getting obsessed with personality analysis...

By the way, my MBTI result: ENTP (Inventor/Explorer/Visionary)

On Change of Voice

After some feedback from readers, the 'iconoclastic boy' has decided to revert back using 'I' to avoid causing further irritation to current and potential readers alike...

Quote of the Night
The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation.

On Religion

The Religion Test at Tickle says that his religion is 'unitarian universalism'. Kinda cool huh. Results show that he is attracted to a religion that tolerates mixed beliefs about the existence of God and upholds the idea that there is something to be learned from every religion. He is open to a wide variety of religious and spiritual ideas. He is attracted to spiritual groups that are composed of typically open-minded and intellectual people who actively engage in individual exploration of many different spiritual truths.

A visit to the church on Sunday has still left many burning questions unanswered. He is for now unconvinced that the Bible is anything more than a fairytale, but he concedes that there is only so much a human brain can comprehend using logic. It's back to the issue of faith vs logic. The iconoclastic boy has always based his perceptions on logic. Where faith is present, it's merely faith in his logic, reagardless of its inherent limits. His perception of life over the past 21 years has been based on his 'invented' religion/philosphy that comes from studying science, maths, life experiences and a bit of reading on philosophy and major religions. A relatively unpolished philosophy/religion he thinks, but he is satisfied. What happens in the future he leaves it up to fate. There is only 1 thing he believes in now, and it's fate...

Quote of the Day
I am satisfied with the mystery of life's eternity and with a knowledge, a sense, of the marvelous structure of existence— as well as the humble attempt to understand even a tiny portion of the Reason that manifests itself in nature.
-Albert Einstein
